The HERMES Research funding of the University of Rostock gives young researchers the opportunity to develop their own grant proposal:
The objective of the Hermes Programme is to promote young academics at the University of Rostock and simultaneously strengthen the international networks of the University of Rostock.
Just recently, Martin applied for this research programme! He wants to establish a powerful link to the research group of Carole Goble in Manchester. Both groups aim for an improved management of computational models and in the future we envision to combine our efforts.
Martin managed to convince the HERMES committee that this idea is worth the funding. He’s keen on developing a grant proposal for doing provenance for computational models. Obviously, Carole’s group is the prefect collaborator and, thus, Martin is going to visit Manchester for about 10 weeks this summer. He will use this stay to align the visions of Rostock and Manchester and to establish a long-term collaboration.
